Everlasting Night
Immortal Remains

The crisis struck everywhere. We have a financial crisis, there is a crisis as far as the personal relations are concerned -due to Internet chat rooms- and now we have inspirational crisis that hits the bands. Well, the last one is not new but unfortunately is still here.
The Durr brothers are the fathers of IMMORTAL REMAINS, back in 2000. During those nine years, they had some lineup changes, released three promo CD's and did some live shows in Germany. Everlasting Night is their first full length album. Their music is a typical clone of CRADLE OF FILTH, old DIMMU BORGIR and KVIST. The problem is that they cloned the bad moments from those bands. Lack of inspiration and not trying to filter your influences is a bad combo. The album is starting to get boring before even reaching the fifth song. High pitch Dani-like vocals and riffs that will give you a yawn are included in this album,.
Guys, you may like this kind of music and your second effort may be much better than you debut album. But Everlasting Night is not the album that will make you known in the music industry. Die hard fans of melodic Death Metal and fans of the pre-mentioned bands, liking to have everything that sounds like them without caring if an album is good or not, give them a try. As for the rest...I mentioned the economic crisis earlier. Give your money somewhere else. Let's just hope, for them, that they will do much better in their next album.
