ILLNATH is a Danish female fronted melodic Death Metal band. They released two full length albums and "Third Act In The Theater Of Madness" is their third. Their career started in 2000 and they have several releases other than their albums like two EPs and two demos. The band has completely new line up aside Peter Falk that was one of the founders and Kenneth Frandsen that joined the crew back in 2005. The rest of the members joined not long ago. Even after several listens, I was still trying to understand what ILLNATH really liked to play. It is not Death Metal of course. It's Heavy / Power Metal with typical melodies and nothing special at all. They are a little bit similar to CHILDREN OF BODOM. Two, maybe three, stuck hard in the back of my mind like "Lead The Way", "Shorthanted" and "Fall Of Giants".

I believe that eventually ILLNATH would have to make a note for themselves to start writing something original as a signature by them has to be marked. The new vocalist, Mona Beck, seemed to me like a good vocalist and left a fair impression, yet I think that she can be better. Furthermore, the guitars and keyboards must be more inspired. In general, ILLNATH have to try more on the next album.
