Ill Nino - Till Death

ILL NINO is band from New York / New Jersey in USA. The band performs Nu Metal with Latin influences and modern echoes. The group was formed in early 2000 and this year they released their seventh album called "Till Death, La Familia". I especially loved their songs from album "Revolution Revolución" in 2000, when Nu Metal was something new in Metal music.

My number one on this CD is single song "Live Like There's No Tomorrow" where it has electronic mixed catchy choruses. Clear singing in refrain is as well great as screaming in the verse, so highlights vocalist Cristian Machado skills as a singer. I always love powerful chorus with big energy, band choir and Latino influences. This song is fantastic as a single and nice opener to the album.

Strong guitar riffs hits to our ears with melody in "Blood Is Thicker Than Water" where the voice of vocalist is so nice to hear with whole band singing in the background. Interesting is Latino lyrics in singing by moment with calmer sounds.

"My Bullet" has similarity to PAPA ROACH songs where singing connects shouting with stronger riffs. "Breaking The Rules" with melodic riffs, memorable refrain and "World So Cold" where hevyness, melodic with Latino drums shows that band is all the time in great form. Catchy "Not Alive In My Nightmare" with electronic parts of screaming and Latino sounds is fine sounding together. Also "I'm not the Enemy" is similarity with Latino echoes, stronger sounds and memorable singing. Energetic track "Pray I Don't Find You" with pulp of drums and screaming are total other than the rest songs on this album. The same is "Are We So Innocent" with power, scream, heavy guitars and what a brilliant guitar solo!

Summing up, ILL NINO is an excellent and well-known band. I'm very happy that I had pleasure to listen their new CD. Their energy can have you addicted, because in whole album is so many fresh power. The connecting elements of nu metal, fast rate of heavy metal and power with melody. Every song is varied, no one is the same. Melody pouring out from this CD. I'm sure that every fan of Nu Metal style wouldn't be disappointed after listening this album.
