II DAWN is female fronted Symphonic Power Metal from Padua, Veneto in Italy. Band was formed in 2013 by guitarist Andrea Bazzon. After some changes, the lineup is now based around drummer Stefano Carraro, guitarist Mauro Marchelle and singer Sara Toffano. Their debut EP was released on 15^th June 2015 and it was recorded and produced at Flameout Studio by Enrico "Ukka" Longhin.

Opening "Alter Ego" has a modern and powerful kick-ass opener; great female vocalist singing in clean style, fabulous working rhythmical section is very enjoyable, even double drums fit here, then amazing guitar solo and violins in Symphonic Metal style, and at the end catchy refrain, these things are so memorable and will carve its place into your minds for a long time. Fantastic Progressive keys at the opening of second track "Do It Ourselves (Animadversio Debita, Pt. 2)" are something delightful; lovely Power Metal drums mixed with fantastic female vocalist (Sara has really great voice in cleans and melodious style). Nice changeable and altering way of playing - from calmer sounds to heavier.

"Ground Zero" has energetic riffs mixed with high vocal and progressive change of rate, again violins in Symphonic Metal style and gorgeous keys. Harmonic singing gives this track chance to become a potential hit, and this impressive guitar solo, a total killer! Massive guitars and Symphonic choir in "Living a Nightmare". Nice DREAM THEATER style keys go along in "Heartless Awakening", also Power Metal drums are so amazing and melodic, and singing is just beautiful.

Debut EP of II DAWN is full of catchy refrains, music played with passion and different styles of Metal - from Symphonic, Progressive to Power Metal. Female vocalist has a sublime voice and that marks these 5 songs with highlights. After listening the whole debut, I see a big potential in this Italian band! Highly recommend to every female fronted Metal lover!
