My Kingdom Eclipsed
I, Forlorn

If you are upset some day and really want to feel your emotions deeply, then certainly the debut work of one-man-band I, FORLORN can help you with this. Entitled "My Kingdom Eclipsed," the album aborts the concept of bringing forth feelings of Depression, Loss and Sorrow through a loudly drawn Doom Metal sound.
The main focus of the work is to exactly bring the listener to the sinking sinking into a very somber and melancholy sound. The first track "Behind The Sun" demonstrates this well. The riffs of tearful and agonizing guitars are followed by a striking drums and a very expressive keyboard. "House Of Glass" has a more mysterious shade and a more fanciful melody. Delayed vocals fit right here which is a somewhat difficult task to fulfill.
"My Kingdom Eclipsed", music that bears the same name as the album follows the same pace, and interesting that here the album begins to commit the slide that is common repetitiveness. As the tracks are longer, here we have 20 minutes of pretty much the same rhythm. "Hysteria" comes to break that with some style bringing some little more energy and aggressiveness touch counting with good alternations on vocals. But soon after we returned to the pace of the first three and so we followed with four more tracks until reaching an hour of a job with very little variation. Of course within the music there are some twists that differentiate them, but the basic construction is practically the same.
Both production and mixing were very well done. Despite suffering from the lack of creativity for the changes between the songs, it is a work that captivates enough to bring the listening to its universe. Maybe for an upcoming job, with a little more effort I believe he can get a great results.
