Hurricane - Liquifury album cover

After leaving Stuart Smith's Heaven And Earth, vocalist Kelly Hansen reunited with drummer Jay Schellen and instead of a solo work he created the fourth album of Hurricane. A respectable Heavy Hard work that smells 80's!!!
Liquifury starts with an Intro, that casts some notes from the Hurricane's past and then the first rocket, River Gold, comes. New God is by far the best song of the album, melodic chorus, playful vocals and great rhythm, a song that come right from the 80's. The bass lines sound great in the Heart Made Of Stone, a great Hard Rock song in the vein of Rainbow. It's Your Life and Shelter are probably the weakest songs of the album. Happy To Be Your Fool is a moody power ballad, well I'm happy that there are still bands around that can compose ballads that don't sound cheesy. That can be also said for the slower In My Dreams. Bleed For Me, Shelter and Torn are the other Heavy Hard rockers of Liquifury with melodic vocal lines, catchy tunes and great guitar solos.
In conclusion, Liquifury is a decent, quality release with great energy and full of feeling given by Kelly's remarkable voice! A nice come back for the old fans and a good introduction for the new ones. Simply Classic!
