Finished With The Dogs
Holy Moses

How raw can you go? Well, the second album of Holy Moses was really one hell of an in-your-face release. Originally released back in 1987, right after the total holocaust of Queen Of Siam (1986), now it is brought back to life by Armageddon Music. Though I prefer their next piece of work (The New Machine...) I have to admit that this one is actually much rougher. And there lies its beauty.
This re-release contains four live bonus tracks (songs taken from this album), an extensive series of liner notes by Sabina (I didn't know that there was a concept behind the lyrics of this album - Thanks, Sabina), and of course lots of photos from the certain time period of the band. Also the sonic package has been revamped in Blue Castle Studio by Michael Hankel.
Just for the younger fans of Holy Moses but also for all the fans of Thrash music, this is a really interesting piece of work. It captures the raw side of Holy Moses, right before they started getting more technical than an American Thrash act! The songs are short in duration. Even with the addition of four more tracks, the whole package (15 songs!) doesn't surpass the 48 minutes barrier, another proof of it being a certified Thrash album!
Definitely not their best work up to date but an interesting purchase for their fans. I now only wait for the Queen Of Siam re-release (hell yeah!!!).
