True Black Metal is an often misunderstood term for bands that simply play the genre in the traditional raw way. Sadly, that term only applies to very few of modern emerging Black Metal musicians who still manage to maintain the sound the forefathers of the 2nd wave wished the genre to have. However, HATECROWNED, hailing from Lebanon come forth with extreme dedication and slaughter your eardrums with Middle Eastern demonic forces.

"Warpact In Black", HATECROWNED's first release is equipped with everything a Black Metal release needs to have to stand a bit above the rest of the equally relentless records. The EP brings us shrieks from Leviathan's own lungs (Ayvaal), female vocals, guitar solos, and raw riffs to accompany the progressions that eventually lead to the gates of hell.

Standout tracks for me are the initial "Untitled" track for the cunt shredding drums and vocals and the guitar solo (which was beyond unexpected and a delight in the middle of a raw musical storm), and the 3rd track "Osqot Ya Insan", which translates to "Fall Mankind", my absolute favorite and the track which has been on repeat for the several listens.

"Warpact in Black" is indeed a must have, and a very pure underground release for Black Metal listeners around the globe. I await a lot from HATECROWNED, a massive underground fanbase and music to rip the guts of those who spoil the black spirit of the genre.
