Halphas - Dawn of a Crimson Empire album cover

Step into the dark ominous world that is created by HALPHAS. This death metal band is the perfect example of how this music is supposed to be. With quick paced guitars, pounding drum beats, "Dawn of a Crimson Empire" speaks for itself on where this band is going. "Sword Of The Necromancer" has to be the most diverse sounding song on the album. With a start to which best resembles a heartbeat with the drums, it soon kicks off into a fast paced, headbanging beat that compels you to move. Legatus's vocals in this song add to the ominous, doom type feel that the song gives off.

Long intros usually have a following of a long song, which is how HALPHAS has it done. Each song is able to play out at its own pace, not having anything rushed. While the music is fast tempo in a way, it's also slow and drawn out at the same time. They have their originality with not following the path of most death metal bands tend too, with more satanic followings. Instead writing more about the themes of death, hate, pain, and the eternal struggle for always striving for power to be held. Although they do try to do different lyrically, originality with music, they can tend to blend in with other bands of the genre.
