Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: HAALBUAER; signed via Sliptrick Records, hailing from Norwegian grounds - performing Death Metal, on their debut album entitled: "Mortal Ones Scream In Horror" (released November 12th, 2021). Since formation in 2020; the trio in question have only 2 Demos entitled: "Tribal Genocide" (released October 10th, 2020), "Purulent Aapning Til Indre Organer" (released December 18th, 2020) & this here debut album that I am introduced to entitled: "Mortal Ones Scream In Horror". 8 tracks ranging at around 21:17; HAALBUAER arrange an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Death Metal developments.
Opening up with this somewhat jazzy tapping; this snare of scouring distortion amplifies into an grinding harmony of rampantly rompy yet sulfurous solidity, "Cemetary Possession" starts off the record with ripping adrenaline and blistering blasphemy. A rawly rough remedy revels with riveting jumpiness among a boisterously bouncy synergy of punchy slays, killer laceration and an immense amount of rumbling reverberation that trembles with volatile kicks while this gnarly bludgeoning belts a clobbering array of ominous yet jarring savagery. "Acts Of Morbid Perversion" showcases similar boundaries, bashfully beating the set with steely yet rambunctious precision - E. Solemdal piledrives his drums with sturdy thuds & slamming artillery. Injecting a consistent dynamic in dexterously crunchy guitar/bass chugginess - A. Remmen also infects a fluidly fierce firepower expertise in which relentlessly ramifies with weighty tightness, strong riffage & slabby grittiness for all eardrums to trailblaze and go berserk to.
"Haemophiliak" surges with this concrete groove, manifesting with sinister rhythms & profusely robust vehemence in flickering domination. A bunch of nice solos monolithically skyrocket with progressively technical yet vibrantly potent snappiness, while this organic substance swerves with nimble tonality. Where nothing but a crunchy stridency on monstrously meaty pandemonium quintessentially bulldozes bones with swampy sound production stability, among a galloping frolic which rollicks heads into a whirlwinding bop in no time. "Inhale The Nauseating Fumes" stomps with thumpy grovels and bleeding noise terror, where oppressive hostility descegrates unworthy souls while HAALBUAER reaves their poor carcass' into oblivion. This thrashy momentum wreaths with brutal calamity, not to forget cords from Masticator - the raspy front man excels at a barrage frenzy of throaty grumblings and guttural heft.
"Caverns Of The Deceased" cavernously towers with vicious melody, where this borderline foundation on salubriously repugnant versatility throttles you with extreme aggression and grotesque sludginess. "Gorespawn" unleashes a horde of slaughterous butchery, as carnage-fueled bellows bark with sheer devastation and bombastic barbarity. Until the penultimate banger "Bliss In Torment" speeds things up with merciless velocity, as contorted malevolence steamrolls speakers with severe heat and radically wicked ruthlessness. Overall concluding "Mortal Ones Scream In Horror" with the maddening yet mayhemic shroud of ball-busting chaos - "Pungent Ecstasy" builds filth upon filth for all those who want to rot in bloody but abominable Death Metal that serves with great intrigue and finesse exceptionally.
Bottom line; I am compelled to say that this was a good start to my week of discovering an enjoyably entertaining slice of havoc-filled profanity, while an ferocious experience of unbound sacrilege & torment unearths my inner fate of bestially infernal hate tenfold. Worthy of spinning and replaying, very satisfactory while surely most metal maniacs will relish in feverishly. Do check it out! HAALBUAER certainly outdone themselves with this one, where twisted yet primitive Norwegian Death Metal will surely start your day off perfectly.
