GUINEA PIG is a band I 'discovered' recently and I really liked their kick ass approach to Metal music. I always had the question why I didn't know these guys earlier, but the bio note that accompanied this demo CD cleared some things out for me.

The Greek metallers were formed pretty recently, where recently means in the spring of 2007. The band features members that have shared their musical knowledge with us in some other known (or less known) bands like LUCKY FUNERAL, REVOLTING BREED and HEDON CRIES among others. Let's see what their first ever release has to say...

The band is based in Patra, Greece, and this demo CD is definitely something that will carry the band's name to some ears that are not only outside Patra, but also outside Greece. From the first time their notes desecrated my ears I knew that these guys have something special going on.

Their music is based on groovy Sludge/Stoner music full of incredible catchy riffs that carry an unbearable beer stench and a groovy as fuck rhythm section. What would be the best way to complete this filthy Sludge/Stoner holocaust? Of course Christos and his rotten extreme vocals! If you would like to know how they sound like, just imagine a party where ACID BATH, CATHEDRAL, BONGZILLA and BLACK SABBATH jam together!

These guys can surely be a force to be reckoned in the near future and I say you should better check them out right now. And I don't know why (hehehe...) but I have this hangover after having listened to the demo for more than 100 times!
