Destroyer-Creator

GRND_0 want to lead listeners to a landscape where the colors and the feelings do not exist. Been replaced by the crystal logic; a universe that is dominated by the forbidding of insubstantiality with nothing warm inside. All these by eccentric progressive with contrariwise influences or ideas.
It's obvious that the Greeks want to create something unique and different in this debut album. Think something that begins from the DEATH era after the Human with many influences from the Blasphemer's MAYHEM that can be noticed in dispersed guitars of Into The Realm Of Consequence. Besides The Unstoppable March Of Time looks that was born from the Grand Declaration Of War both for its drumming entrance and the riffing. Another band that plays basic role I think is NEVERMORE, the start of A New Age Of Misery carries a lot of the Dreaming Neon Black plus some stylistic structures from ATHEIST. This cold caress that the production carries has (unfortunately for me) references from MESHUGGAH bringing voids to their musical path and a robotic, industrial standpoint that I don't like at all.
Some albums that can help you see what is going on here are the Spheres of PESTILENCE, basically The Right In The Right Order makes my memory go back to that one. Although many times won your interest with their guitars they focus a lot to an useless garrulity, like in Into The Realm Of Consequence or the two first ones that creates headache. From the Where Giants Fall and after I believe you will find the most interesting tracks, the Doomy character of that above or the very good ending with the laughing at the A Universe Of Shadows. That's where the album ends and then comes three bonus demo songs.
These three tracks included in the promo Earthbound Constistency recorded during September of 2004 by the same members except the vocalist plus the addition of Chris Droulias in bass duties. That was the only previous recording for this band that started as a side project of George who was a member of the thrashers.HELLFIRE BC. The last one disbanded in 2004 and after that he decided to turn GRND_0 into priority. These demo songs looks better to my ears than of what I experienced inside the full length. Cloud Of Unknowing is total into Death like in ATHEIST together with a fly in the tea melodic acoustic part. Doors Of No Return is something like a tribute to MORBID ANGEL's universal dreamer guitars. The most satisfying one for this cd. The disadvantage is that looks like an inspiration blitzkrieg and not as whole worked tracks originating a substratum deficiency.
The truth is that Destroyer/Creator seems to suffer by overweening ambitions but it looks that is not utopia reaching them. This is an advantage to their mostly mediocre music that makes me put something extra to them together with the two first demo songs. Their personal aesthetic can be also present to the following strange video for Cold Logic that is also included inside Destroyer/Creator.
