Black Signs

FUORIUSO is an Italian band; and they don't perform Power/Epic/Hollywood Metal. That's a change. Plus, they do what they do with much of enthusiasm and less of vanity. And this - I guess - is a benefit for this good Glam/Sleaze Rock/Metal band.
I couldn't keep but notice the serious work done by these guys. They are not pretending, they have written some interesting music (genre-related) and the have given solemn effort in the songs' structures and production, too. Imagine a mix of the legacy of HANOI ROCKS, the energy of BACKYARD BABIES or VAIN, the melancholy of LILLIAN AXE, the mood of L.A. GUNS and the list goes one. Holly's vocals are both vivid and morose, while in many times he succeeds in keeping his own arrangements. As for the guitars: it's only Rock 'n' Roll but we like it. Dirty riffs, vagabond solos and a whole approach you can't deny. Just listen to song like Sexy Teens (The Ecstasy), My Sweet Witch, Danger In The City and Love Desire (or visit the band's MySpace page).
There's a slight inclination to Metal techniques at times, but - in general - this album will not apply to metalheads. That's not the desired 'target group', on the other hand. Sleazy rebels and fans of the Perris Records catalogue will find lots of interest in Black Signs. A really remarkable release.
