This is Forever Still's EP "Save Me", released in April 2015. It is an album of pain, loss, and attempts at becoming stronger.

Before I begin reviewing the album, I have to mention how much I love the vocalist's vocal style. It is strong with a touch of feminine on it, making it rather charming actually.

Album starts with "Awake The Fire", which is like a coming of age song. It is basically a song about someone who is getting tired of a poor relationship and would like to get out of it. In the song, the protagonist thinks of whether she can survive without her current relationship. In the end, she decides that she can give it a try, as she believes she is strong enough to be on her own. It is a very empowering song, perfect for anyone who is suffering the post-breakup! You are strong; believe in yourself!

It was rather surprising to hear synth pulses in "Breathe In"; it was an interesting take having the pulsing in the background. It was an interesting experiment and it turns out pretty well.

"Save Me" started with the sound of rain at the background before it becomes a Melodic Rock festival. Again, the voice is top notch as always. It is clear, has the character of a vulnerable woman with a story. That is the strong point of Maja Schønning, she has a voice that is clear and able to tell a vivid story really well. It sounds really well, reminds me slightly of Dido in fact, due to her great use in falsetto and themes of love loss. This is not to say they are carbon copies, however, Maja Schønning feels more in a loss than Dido is. When she sings "Save Me", I really believed every word she sang. She sounded like somebody who really needed someone to love and care for her.

"Save Me" is a great EP; the only pity is how short it is. It is poppy, it is about someone longing to be loved yet trying so very hard to be happy by herself too. This is a great album about human desires and pain.
