Fleshgod Apocalypse - Oracles album cover

Even if someone told me that these guys are from Italy, I wouldn't even believe him! You can imagine the music they play just by their name and as you already know, Italy doesn't have a huge tradition in the extreme sound. I advice you to keep reading this review since I guess you psychos will find this release more than interesting. May I present you, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE...

Born in April 2007, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE features members from bands like HOUR OF PENANCE and PROMAETHEUS UNBOUND. Oracles, which is the band's first full-length album, is being released through Willowtip Records. With such an album, if they once managed to support bands like BEHEMOTH, DYING FETUS, SUFFOCATION and NAPALM DEATH, they will now manage to do much more tings.

FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE's debut album is an approximately 37-minute brutal Death Metal holocaust with a great dose of technique. It seems that the extreme or, to be more precise, the really extreme bands in Italy are very few, but they surely know how to make some heads bang. With a sound close to bands like ORIGIN, VISCERAL BLEEDING and DECREPIT BIRTH, the quartet delivers fast & furious extreme music, which I have to admit I didn't really expect. Oracles is a really good album and even though it is only their debut, it can easily compete titans in the brutal Death Metal scene. Hyperfast drumming, a schizophrenic bass player and two insanely melodic guitars that complete each other.

The chaotic song structures and the murderous guitar shredding are things that make this album a must have for fans of the brutal/technical Death metal sound. Let's see what more Italy has in store for us!
