This Power Metal band from Santiago, Chile was formed in 2006 and their first album "God n' Evil" was originally released by themselves in 2010... With a big indifference coming from the old continent!

Now the wise guys from Power Prog Records are picking the album for an international publishing and takes the future of FIRELAND under their mighty wing. If you have a soft spot for the old-school Power Metal sound, in the Germanic Keepers tradition (HEAVENS GATE/FREEDOM CALL/GAMMA RAY) with some influences coming from the true Metal merchants from Sweden (HAMMERFALL/DREAM EVIL) this is something you should consider placing in your wish list for your Christmas gifts!

On the opposite side, If you are picky and if you need fresh blood, you must be warned because FIRELAND is a real dogmatic band, a real bunch of Metal pilgrims in quest for their Holy land, so don't expect nothing really new or revolutionary, the total allegiance is the rule and the full orthodoxy is respected here, sometimes even reaching the cliché state. However, the players are more than competent and the Lead Vocalist is decent enough to compete with his peers from Europe, the whole is updated with a state of the art production and a good sonic design in the great Nordic mode... Tight/Powerful and surgical!

If Chile, was mostly known for his Doom Metal scene (CAPILLA ARDENTE/PROCESSION & Co), after the critical acclaim of BLODEN WEBB "Eyes Of Horus" , the new challengers are numerous, indeed since then the last works by THUNDERBLAST/INDOMITE/VORPAL NOMAD and above all obviously the excellent band DELTA should be warmly recommended!
