The Fall Of An Empire

Black dragons soaring high while dwarves are fighting elfish pussies and shit like that! What the fuck is going on with some bands? Why do they have to torment me like that? What have I done to deserve something like this? Have I slain the wrong dragon? Wake up people! I was forced to play some songs from the new Rhapsody Of Fire album in a club I used to play as a DJ, why do I have to review this thing?
Fairyland (I can't even say their name without laughing my ass off), are a French band, hailing from Nice. Formed in 1998, they have up to now released two demos and one full-length album, with this one being their second. This is their first release via Napalm Records, since their debut album was released through Arise Records. Anyway, let's get on with it...
These guys must have grown up with posters of Rhapsody Of Fire on their walls, which by the way suck in my opinion. I know some of you like this kind of shit but this time I got to review a symphonic shit CD. Great production, so what? A CD can't be good only by its production! And I want you to know something. I am not snob towards epic/fantasy lyrics. Blind Guardian belongs to my favorite bands! It's just that everything has limits. No, there are not dragons out there waiting to eat you alive nor dwarves that masturbate in emerald mines! Fast as a dragon with a lance up his ass and just as pointless (Yiannis, thanks for the copyrights!). If you want to listen to good symphonic stuff, you should go buy some Emperor albums!
This album is suggested to kids who are stuck in front of the PC screen playing rpg and strategy games like Warcraft (which by the way rules). Perfect for falling asleep or a great present for your enemies! If I didn't know that there are people who like Rhapsody Of Fire the rating would be much lower!
