Eyeconoclast - Drones Of Awakening album cover

With so much Death Metal around nowadays, it's hard to discern what's good and what's bad. In saying that, a few listens through this album and it's clear that the material is of a high standard - your daily supplement of death is needed, Sir.

The opening track "Proclaiming from Dead Dimensions" opens up really well with a few seconds of effects in the background, before tearing you a new one with shredding guitars and atypical fast blast beats from the Mauro Mercurio's drums.

After a few years of getting to this point, "Drones Of Awakening" actually feels like they've spent a considerable amount of time refining their techniques slightly, and certainly makes an impact. However I'll come back to my original: there's a lot of Death Metal around. And when I considered that, I wondered if this album was good or not?

Truth be told, I'll await and see what this band comes out with next. This album has intrigued me, but not completely flawed me.
