From their Bandcamp page, I was able to gather just a bit of information on the band. They call themselves a Progressive Melodic Metal band and hail from the UK. However, they were not recognized by The Metal Archives, and their record label did not have any bio information either. So, we are going to have to let the music do the talking. Their self-titled album contains eleven songs.

"Behind the Eyes" is the first. Out of the gates, you are hit with a full and rich sound, some heavy accents and some swirling leads. The clean vocalist has a nice tone and range. In the upper ranges, he has some rasp in his delivery. The Progressive elements are steady but not overpowering. It's more about the melody than technical mastery. "Signal Fire" is another heavy offering but not without bright moments of melody. I love the balance so far. The sound is catchy much like DGM or TERAMAZE. The guitar solo is fantastic, and the breakdown that follows is aggressive. "Flare" is a raucous and burning song with a nice balance between melody and weight. Some harsh vocals are present here, but so are some more ethereal and emotive elements. Another firey guitar solo leaves the fret smoking in their trail.

"Shelter" allows some of the more melodic and poignant elements to really develop, while the heavy rhythms chug underneath. The band plays tightly together, like they have been in the same room for a few months. "White Noise" is a more technical song where the band can showcase some of their excellent musicianship. There is just a tinge of a Modern Metal sound here...not bad...just an observation. "All the Same" is a steadier mid-tempo rocker with tight passages that you couldn't squeeze a dime through. This kind of polish isn't usually present in newer bands, so bravo to them. "On the Wire" is another well balanced song with heavy accents, smooth melodies, and emotive vocal harmonies. They also make good use of leads in the mix. Harsh vocals lash out like a coiled viper, although the cleans dominate.

"Trapped Inside" begins with the charming melody before flowing into a more aggressive passage. The band's energy here is amped up, as is my excitement on where the album is heading. This song is another with a strong balance of melody and weight. "Emerge" is a heavier sound but still with wonderful melodies. Take a listen to the vocals in particular. They are earnest, vigorous but also so emotive. This song is very catchy, perhaps the best on the album, and I would make this a single for sure. "Casting Eyes" closes the album. It's a smooth, mellow sound with Djent accents and the melody flows. Harsh vocals keep it dangerous, but the more modern sound is positive and shining.

On this album, it's all about the balance. Their musicianship is quite strong, but they never let it overpower the delivery of the melodies. The harsh vocals give the music a heavier edge, but I actually prefer the cleans here of the two. They flirt with the Modern Metal sound just a bit too much for me. It's a decent genre, but the directions can go many different ways. Fortunately, the Progressive elements win the battle. The band can only go up from here.
