Winter Eternal
Exile The Traitor

Anyone who is familiar with me knows that I have a particular interest in the darker heavier side of Metal, so it is my pleasure to introduce "Winter Eternal" by EXILE THE TRAITOR.
The album is merely 4 tracks long, but they really do pack a punch. The Glasgow group is in the range o Blackened Death Metal, but a little on the melodic side. There is no question that the album is brutal as hell on top it. They use two vocalists, which really gives it an in your face aggression. These guys certainly are not for your average ear, no you gotta love the heavy shit.
The melodies were quite dark and eerie, which is all A's in my book. The quality of the music is raw as hell, yet still put together very well. As for the songs they all flowed smoothly, and although they all sounded different, they all had that same sort of feeling of dark melodic brutality that may have hindered variation just a tiny bit. I'm not saying I don't like it, but it's your typical brand of Extreme Metal.
This is certainly a band that I would love to see live. One could definitely mosh hard to these guys. I do recommend them to anyone who likes the heavier stuff. If you have the ear you will without a doubt get your pleasure out of "Winter Eternal"!
