Opener "Down Below" has lower & massive riffs in DIO style with gentle and interesting female vocals. What a melodic chorus, amazing guitar work. Very climactic, strong and perfectly played! Heavier riffs are found in "Kick You Down" with Classic Metal style and stronger vocals by the illustrious singer. Awesome guitars give me goosebumps! Nice opening choir is in "What Have We Become" with Heavy Metal guitars and total pulp of drums - time for headbanging. Very powerful track!
Drum solo opening in "Chastity" introduces the song with strong riffs too. Slower & calmer sounds are here too! Very memorable chorus with the infinitely melodic voice of Hannah together with strong guitars. Melody & nice heavy guitars with working bass in IRON MAIDEN style are in "Guilty" with a catchy chorus. Calmer sound of guitar like in METALLICA's ballads opens "Fly Away" and then great lower guitars in BLACK SABBATH-like style.
Wonderful ballad "Disappear" with accompaniment acoustic guitar and clear voice in singing by Hannah and METALLICA echoes. Massive guitars in JUDAS PRIEST style, nice solos, SAXON echoes and few Gothic Metal similarity can be found in "Your Darkest Fears", modern sounds & lower riffs with faster rhythm in "Avenge The Fallen", impressive guitar solos and male with female vocal and "Living To Die" with melodic singing, shouting choir in Heavy Metal style and such memorable sounds.
I'm really surprised by this album. EVYLTYDE have record a very good debut album. They create wonderful dynamic music with melody; the sound of traditional, Classic Metal into the modern age with a mix of killer riffs, searing power chords and melodic vocals sounds amazing in their performance together with Heavy Metal echoes. Every song has other scheme and other idea. Surely every Metal lover will be in seventh heaven listening to this album; I sincerely recommend it. They present great music, a good work, catchy melodies, excellent technique and a production on a high level. They seem to be experienced musicians. During listening, such beautiful music you can move into another world and relax. Perfect production and fantastic compositions surely will, for a long time, dig in your mind! I keep my fingers crossed for them, because they are so perfect what they do and what they play. These British Metallers play with passion.
