ETHERNA, is a band with a mess up. A complete clueless band. A bad album cover with potential musicians who need guidance. Conquering melodic elements or symphonic elements in a band is tough. ETHERNA sounds more like typical Progressive Metal or Melodic Heavy Metal. The band is truly clueless with their sound or either they are playing for the sake of the formation. The sync of the band is unseen. Approving their present album is something to rethink. I don't mind giving them a positive support. They need to change here and there.

"Forgotten Beholder" is just an "ok" album. Not that great! I found little influence of DREAM THEATRE or STRATOVARIUS's elements in them. I won't call them melodic but a bit of power progressive. For example "A dream in infinite space", acoustic track and the potential of band is portrayed in there, it really gives the feel of Dream Theater. "Forgotten Beholder" has a constant breakdown of drums and the power feel reminds of STRATOVARIUS. "Death" track reminds me of KAMELOT. Too typical. I must say. Not similar to KAMELOT, but yet near to it. It's more like dominance of vocals rather music. I have no clue but they sound so clueless. They have creativity and potential but I prefer the vocalist not to scream more since his vocals are extremely annoying. Guitars, keys and everything else is just fine.

It's very sad to criticize a band but at the same time, I would prefer them go for Symphonic Rock rather Power Progressive or Melodic Heavy Metal. They don't seem to be apt for that whole "Metal element". As for the band goes, many would like them and but as per as "Global level", they aren't that level yet. Conclusion, the band has potential and needs guidance in their music or a proper sync. I can blame the quality of audio production matter yet there is a certain element which tells you that this band is absolutely great but this one isn't
Disappointment would be there. As a review writer, I would suggest the band to listen to their production and think several times to take their music composition to next level.
