Are you a fan of bands like JUDAS PRIEST and GWAR? Well let me point your attention over to the likes of ERADIKATOR, the love baby of GWAR vocals and JUDAS PRIEST riffage! ERADIKATOR and their new album "Edge Of Humanity" are a new high in Thrash Metal, I mean this is a band that should be headlining with SLAYER supporting them. Every song from front to back on this album dominates and destroys everything in its path and yes, this includes your neck.

So where do we start? You know GWAR's late vocalist Oderus correct? Well youll know he was replaced by Blothar, anyone who has seen GWAR recently can back me up when I say he's got one hell of a thrash voice (listen to "Beat You To Death" for example), take this style and make it even more awesome and you've got vocalist and bassist Pat Cox. To keep it going you obviously know JUDAS PRIEST, yeah? Well take K.K. Downing's amazing guitar playing and give it to Anthony MacNevin and the fittingly named Liam Priest and you've got your guitar duo of ERADIKATOR ready to rock. "Mesmerised" and "Man Behind The Mask" which open the album are absolute rippers, the music is Thrashy in all the right spots, the solos are spot on masterful, the drums devistate and there's not a whole lot to say besides get ready to bang your head. As you go through other amazing tunes like "Fortress Unknown" and "The Great Deception" after exactly 39 minutes youll find yourself at the ending instrumental "Kairos Passing" which starts off absolutely beautiful with harmonising guitars. Once the song finally picks up, it really picks up, this song probably has more guitar solos than "Hanger 18" and for all the right reasons. I'm not an instrumental person normally, but this is the kind of song that makes you wanna run a mile, and you can probably do it before the song ends.

Who said Metal was dying? Go listen to ERADIKATOR and try to tell me that Metal is dying and there are no good "new bands." "Edge Of Humanity" may only be ERADIKATOR's second album but they're ready to tour the world and everyone should be showing up to eat out of their hands. Bonus fact, no I didn't know this band before this, yes I'm buying both of their albums and no you can't borrow money. Oh, and they rocked the hell outta Bloodstock!
