Enime - Bleeding Out album cover

First of all, I actually did not know beforehand that this was a local band. So I was really pleasantly surprised when I first listened to this album. I chose it from a list of reviews to do and boy was I happy with my fluke choice!

ENIME is part of the growing list of bands from Montreal (and surrounding areas) making a mark on the local scene. So many bands and so little time, but man, is there a lot of good bands out there it's mind boggling. A lot of bands are making their marks on an international stage like AUGURY, AETERNAM and BEYOND CREATION but now it's time to shine for the other bands. I call this the next phase of Montreal Metal. There are the next bands to flourish outside of Canada, bands like KARKAOS, SACRIFICED ALLIANCE, HANDS OF DESPAIR, THRASH LA REINE and the aforementioned ENIME. All bands have their unique style and making waves here in Montreal. They tour consistently throughout the ''Belle Province'' and open for international bands, they put the time and effort on doing a great job of putting their name out there.

ENIME are a very classic Heavy Metal band with hints of old school Thrash Metal. I won't talk about each and every song of the album, that's my thing usually. It really has that classic vibe, sometimes it sounds musically like KING DIAMOND, sometimes I can compare their sound to old school OVERKILL or NUCLEAR ASSAULT. The singer can belt it out and sometimes I can hear him channeling his inner Dave Mustaine on some songs. Some songs he can reach the higher notes but sometimes he can be pretty mellow.

Thrash Metal is not a staple of the music on the local scene, we have a lot of Progressive Death Metal bands but the Thrash Metal scene isn't what he used to be but ENIME are a proud example of doing things the right way. The production is very good, you can hear clearly the instruments throughout and nothing seems faded in the background which is simply something I can't stand when I listen to an album. You can see that they took the time to produce a solid album and that's awesome. You can see that these musicians are serious about their craft.

You don't need to reinvent the wheel to deliver quality music. They are producing some quality old school Metal with no filters and with relentless effort. I see great promise in the local band.
