This is the first production from these Turkish experimented musicians, yes I myself can't believe it, but these guys are from Turkey. Maybe my surprise was generated due to lack of listening to Turkish oriented Metal albums, although I did hear that there is a great Metal fan base there. This EP contains four tracks and the most surprising is that the EP is old school Death Metal, displaying real Turk power.
The issue is that I can't really explain to you guys my astonishment when I first started listening to the EP. It is Fucking fuelled with hellfire of the early days of the genre, on its purest evil side. I could hardly believe it, ENGULFED sent me back to the best of what this genre can offer and it sure made feel great and a good headbanging good time.
Guitar and drums were straight up, directly from the nine circles of Hell, mainly from the Seventh Circle (Violence). on "Summoned" the solo penetrates your brain just like a 9 mm bullet, precise and deadly. Furthermore the Vocals are deep and growling just like in the Second Circle of Lust.
Overall it is a great EP, but yet again this is only an EP. Many bands released great EPs but couldn't deliver the same on a full length album. I do hope that ENGULFED will be able to do that in the future. In the meanwhile, enjoy this semi masterpiece.
