The Rebirth Of I
Ende
What's up, Metal maniacs? I'm here once again to give you an insight on this Black Metal band from the Metal realms of France known as: ENDE.
As I listen to more and more Black Metal I continue to understand its concept a fuck load more than I would have a few years back; if you asked me "do you like TSJUDER?" I'd be like, eh?
It really is a genre that takes a well-trained metalhead to really appreciate. What I love about it the most is how dark, obscure and raw this genre can be. Not only that; it takes talent -I mean real talent- to perform such daunting tasks, Live and in Studio, Metal is what we crave for on a daily bases, but it takes will and power to accomplish such a feat if you want to be a musician.
And what's even more crazy about this is with the band in question: ENDE, we have here a quintet that's only a duo, Thomas Njodr performs some neck-crunching drum solos while I. Luciferia performs the majority of everything; vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards... it's quite clear that ENDE is his baby, his job, and his ambition of life.
So what's the music like you may wonder? Well, it's atmospheric, dark, extreme, moody, and powerful as hell. In a typical sense; all Black Metal fans will approve of ENDE, simple as that. "The Rebirth Of I" is a Black Metal fan's wet dream. Solid sound production, solidified musical integrity, rhythm, skill and technique. 4 years prior after the release of their debut album: "Whispers Of A Dying Earth" and then a demo entitled "The God's Rejects", we have here a band that's already thriving to spread the word of how great Black Metal can be for us Metalheads.
The bad?
Not much to really complain about; unable to understand the lyrics or song titles; is my only gripe here really, everything else is spot on. "The Rebirth Of I" is a typical Black Metal album, with no compromises, not even restraints. If you love an eerie presence felt in your music with powerful, upbeat craziness, you'll enjoy "The Rebirth Of I". It gets quite enjoyable near the end with "Quintessence of evil" and "May, 1885"; some interesting melodies, growling and a 10 minute long epic of atmospheric moods.
Bottom line - there's nothing more enjoyable than an album that implements outdoor atmospheres with edged on extreme Black Metal. "The Rebirth Of I" is a grand record and it's a worthy contender for your Metal collection. Buy it!
