The Painstream
End Of Green

END OF GREEN is a German self-described "Depressive Subcore" band, active since 1992 they have released a total of 8 full-length albums, with "The Painstream" being their eighth.
This album not being all that worth it, I won't dwell much on this review, suffice it to say that the main flaw behind this album is exactly what they seem to be proud of on their Facebook page namely the fact that their sound can lay "somewhere between Metal, Alternative, Goth, and Pop", otherwise known as the let's-shoot-at-all-angles-and see-if-we-can-hit-anything syndrome.
The worse part of it was that at first listen this album seemed to have some potential but in follow-up listening sessions the Pop influence creeps in and you notice that, even though the surface is shining and seems beautiful, with every attempt to look deeper within, you eventually find out that there is nothing really there.
