EMIL BULLS is a Alternative Metal band that was formed in 1995 in Munich, Germany.  They have released albums: "Red Dick's Potatoe Garden" in 1997, "Monogamy" in 2000, „Angel Delivery Service" in 2001, „Porcelain" in 2003, "The Southern Comfort" in 2005, "The Black Path" in 2008, „Phoenix" in 2009, "Oceanic" in 2011. Their new album, "Sacrifice to Venus" will be released on 8 August 2014 by AFM Records.

I got to know this German band when I was teenager and listened to their songs such as: "Leaving You With This", "Take On Me" (A-HA cover) or "Smells Like Rock'N'Roll". EMIL BULLS were very popular and everyone of their songs are still hits till this day. Today I have opportunity to review they upcoming new album. I admit that it gave me a lot of joy.

My favourite track is "The Age of Revolution" where are melodic together singing by band is with catchy keys and also elements of aggression. Shouting in "Pants Down" is really great with melodic riffs and crazy sounds a'la KORN or SLIPKNOT. Catchy chorus is really memorable with shouting vocal. Single "Hearteater" is great connection of melodic riffs, powerful drums & memorable singing with amazing guitar solo! Powerful "Keep On Dreaming" is full of stronger riffs, shouting, melodic refrain and guitar solo which caused goose-flesh.

The longest track "Behind the Sun" has Doom echoes, stoner riffs & clean-distanced vocal singing like DEFTONES. Amazing choir in memorable refrain. Aggressive sounds are in kick-ass song "Man Or Mouse" where are listenable Punky echoes in melodic stronger sounds and even Crossover elements. Titled track "Sacrifice to Venus" has modern techniques, electronic, rap echoes and melodic refrain with shout and clear stadium choir in style of LINKIN PARK.

Tracks that are also worth a listen are: "The Way of the Warrior" with strongness of PANTERA in guitars and memorable refrain, "The Reckoning" with old good EMIL BULLS echoes in chorus singing in surrounding nice climate, clear vocal - here is fantastic connection of melodic singing, calm and aggression! "Rainbows and Butterflies" with pulp of drums in Hardcore style and fine singing together refrain, climatic calmer ballad "Gone Baby Gone", opener "The Grave" with push mega power, lower guitars, screaming changing into clear vocal, gentle singing with stadium choir in chorus in "I Wanna Feel You".

Fresh album of EMIL BULLS is highly recommendable for everyone who likes to listen sound on high level with modern techniques of music. Melodic tracks in Alternative Metal & Nu Metal style are well worked. Here is power, energy and passion of playing music. There is also experience of musicians & respect for them that they connecting in their music melodic moments with heaviness and aggression. This is perfect mix with catchy sounds. Highly recommend. Guys still are on the top of form!
