Embedded - Bloodgeoning album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! The Thrasher returns to give you an insight; this time, on the Brutal Death Metal quintet...hailing from the glory of Germany: EMBEDDED, on their 4th new album, signed via Apostasy Records: "Bloodgeoning".

If you're going to do Death Metal; brutalize it! EMBEDDED feature a dynamic; frenetic inquisition, offering blazing riffery – full of frantic jams of intensity, very groovy but upbeat explosions of Metal, featuring a wide array of growls and profound pig-squeals that justify "Bloodgeoning"'s old-school image. The quartet in question is sure rattle your god-damned head with full-throttle behaviour; musicianship is spot on, and instrumentally...I found myself enjoying the ever loving fuck out of it all. Intense patterns surround this object, adequately pummelling eardrums with intent, brute force. Death Metal is one of my all-time favourite genres of Metal; this here band showcases why Death Metal is a force to be reckoned with, and should be used respectfully. As I jammed my first listen...I relished it, knowing I'd enjoy it right off the earphones... This is an album not for the faint of heart.

Featuring a conclusive lineup including Rainer Düsing on vocals who performs some of the deadliest growls; pig-squeals now and then, and just outright heavy as fuck lyricism... Christian Wösten and Wolfgang Sander on guitars screech an entirety of riffs that scream out brilliance; the rhythm and dexterity preaches out to the choir, chiming out with power. Speaking of power... Daniel Meier on bass and Markus Renzenbrink on drums unleash some fascinating beats that reward the listener with some fist-pounding brutality. EMBEDDED are a force to be reckoned with as is the genre in question; "Bloodgeoning" is exactly what it says on the tin...what lies within is a blood-soaked ritual just waiting to be bowed upon and unleashed upon your ever-so craving eardrums for that unheard of, brutal experience. 8 fairly length tracks that bestowed in quality Death Metal fashion...just prepare to brace yourself if you're new to the table...

Lasting at around 40 minutes long...we have 8 killing tracks that define brutality in every sense of the word. "Quadruple Corpse Horror" and "Murder-Suicide" stems from an enriching sound production that has intriguingly complex polyrhythms that blast-beat with power. "Bloodgeoning" can feel like that representing album but it gets the job done with enlightening ferocity. "Cleansed By Fire" and "Dawn Of My Being" showcase some exceptional but influential CANNIBAL CORPSE style value...you can rest assure that your neck will be thrashed. Mid-tempo power implodes with songs like "Edenblaze" and "Grinding The Bones" ...blistering with ravenous twists and thunderous riffing, dynamic drumming that furiously rages with speed...all similarly found in the finale of the record: "Time Has Come" and "Bowed", each song boldly transforms with proficiency and blazes with quality and passion.

Definitely one of the most brutal albums of 2016; I would conclude in saying that "Bloodgeoning" is a choice pick for Brutal Death Metal veterans, while one-dimensional...but trust me, that's a good thing for EMBEDDED...it certainly deserves multiple listens.
