EFFIGY is actually an old school Death Metal band and this ep was originally recorded in the nineties but never released until now, just by listening to it, you can tell its roots are from back in the nineties, just by how it is musically represented.

"Afterlife" comes off as old school melodic death metal as stated above, heave ass guitar and very precise drumming, with nineties style Death Metal crushing anything in its path vocals. "Darkest Days" as you might have guessed this is the title track, five minutes and twenty-eight seconds of in your face aggression, with raw ass vocals delivered by Dillard Logsdon, "I Remember" begins with a catchy ass musical explosion, you can feel the time and space it occupied, almost like going back to the nineties in a time machine.

"Trauma" takes off with a kick ass riff, Greg Metro's drums perfectly supporting the Guitar and bass elements, two min and five second of a musical assassination of anything that steps before it until any snarling vocal protrude, taking back back back, well to the nineties Death Metal era. "Darkest Days" is a step back into time where Death Metal was raw and pure, bent on the destruction of your ears.
