Metal maniacs, rejoice! The Thrasher returns to present to you: E.VIL N.EVER D.IES; signed via Via Nocturna Records, hailing from Italian grounds - performing Thrash Metal, on their debut album entitled "Ekpyrosis" (released February 28th, 2017).

Since formation in 1990; the quintet in question have 3 EPs behind them, I'm introduced to their 1st album deliverance - "Ekpyrosis". Consisting of 8 thrashing tracks; ranging at around 38:18, opening with "Holy Mountain" - E.VIL N.EVER D.IES alternate between a significant amount of straight, galloping groovy punchlines - mid-tempo chugging riffs and a bunch of solid diversities in which will have you thrashing like a manic in no time. Consistently charging with thunderous rhythmic instrumentation, the musicianship leaps with influential patterns in which contribute to the sub-genre with delightful precision – featuring hardcore old-school attributes, gritty vocalisation, and progressive elements that has an organic aesthetic of songwriting that's tastefully original and memorable.

Comprised of guitarist Fabio Di  Tullio; the thrasher implements complex, dextrous efficiency that emphasizes distinct consequential extremity in the riff adroitness. "No Cure For War" demonstrates intensely splendid compositions at a furiously developed pace, viciously vehement progressive implementations with a constructively built sound production that's both elegant and exquisite. Vocalist Domecast develops an intricately hard-hitting formula of immense dynamical contrast, productively fusing a nice balance of Death Metal and Hardcore characteristic value. "Epitaphs" is the longest thrasher at 6:24; showcasing a broad, pummelling powerhouse from crusher Felix Savarese - as he ferociously smashes his drumsticks to oblivion with a salubrious incentive of fulfilment. "It's Alive" intensifies with more succulent enlightenments as the dynamic trio contrive in unparalleled adaptation.

"(This Is) Country For Old Men" is where things diligently seem to trouble me; as the vocalisation sounds a little too high, while the instrumentation is raw and solidly stellar it's just a bit of a shame that the overdone cords overtakes things. It's got a nice, savagely hardcore vibe to it however...only that leads it to it being a bit derivative. "Land With No Future" has more intense riffs even if things seem a little predictable, more uncompromising ferociousness compiled atmosphere has a coherent substance, especially in "Imagination". The titular track overall ends the record; that just sounds like an unnecessary remix, that definitely drags the record down...but despite the damaging flaws, there are still some enjoyably stellar positives. If you like hardcore technicalities though, this is your record.
