Spheria
Dying Source

German Death Metal band DYING SOURCE have released their debut album "Spheria" and i'm afraid they have some work to do. I saw this band opening for AMON AMARTH and a few people in the crowd going to check them out but few being blown away.
The opening songs before "Evil Inside" don't seem to me as a connection between the music and the vocals. "Evil Inside" appears a song with each made for the other, even though it sounds a little bit Nu Metal. I can't get away from the impression in the early songs that the excellent guitars are not quite in sync with the vocals. This maybe a result of the song writing I guess, maybe the vocals, I don't know. I can't think of any band who's first album is their best, or even close.
There is plenty of potential here, it's a matter for them what they do with it. However, I have to admit that I probably wouldn't buy this album myself.
