DROWN IN BLOOD is a Death Metal band based out of Milano, Italy. Formed in 2009, the band had previously released an EP in 2012. "Addicted To Murder" is the band's first full-length album, and contains eight tracks. An introductory bass riff provides the intro to "Reign Of Hypocrisy," leading in to the main running guitar riff and blast beat drums. Vocally it registers on the low end, with relatively short growls and more instrumentation than vocal parts as a whole. "Impersonal Living" has a similar pace and approach, with the guitars and drums dominating the landscape. A slower passage/breakdown appears around the mid-way point and connects back with the main riff to the end. "Purification Of Flesh" has a bit more presence and is a little thicker sonically. The length and pace of the song however is very similar to the previous tracks. The vocal wails at the end are indeed reminiscent of someone suffering, as the title suggest.

"Walking Dead" has a slower entrance, but it quickly settles into a similar key and rhythm. The bass interlude is the only real variegate provided in this song. "Vengeance Is Mine" has a brooding quality to it, especially with the vocals, but it is becoming more and more difficult to distinguish one track from the next. "Razor in my Hand" sticks to the drop tuned key that marks most of the other tracks. Though a little slower and deeper, the formula is essentially the same. "Evil Parasites" starts off in slightly a higher key and then alternates riffs with a lower counterpart. The rhythm is a bit more galloping from the instruments playing essentially in unison. Closing the album is the song "Beast In The Cage." They may have saved the best track for last, as this one comes at you like a runaway freight train. As a whole, the effort and musicianship is noteworthy but there isn't much to distinguish it from the mountains of Death Metal bands out there today.<
