It is said that BLACK SABBATH'S "Master of Reality" was the first Stoner Rock record ever recorded more than 45 years ago. Setting standards seems like a common thing when the only things available begin to grow old and out of the taste of the most knowledgeable connoisseurs, but when almost half a century has passed to be able to maintain the originality of those standards like a true time traveler is something outstanding in a world accustomed to always wanting innovation instead of tradition. DOUBLESTONE is a Stoner Rock trio from Copenhagen Denmark, founded in the year two thousand eleven in by the Blond Brothers as a two-man band, only to be joined later by their cousin Kristian. After a prolix period of creative expansion, the trio managed to release their first album called "Wigmakers" in 2013 and finally after the release of a B-side last year and without further preamble, Devil's Own is here for this two thousand seventeen to lower your heart beat at the same time it increases the amount of dopamine and endorphines in your body like only class-A drugs can.

"I Natten" which in Danish means something like "he night," (forgive my ignorance) is a built tune, where the lyrics in this rocker's native tongue seem to increase the intonation, the sound and the rhythm put together in this song in order to make it an undeniable taste of Stoner Rock evolution, with all the elements of a sound full of brawn and low frequency riffs and chords to create a crawling sensation along with all of the proper characteristics of a proper and legitimate sound that many have tried to achieve, but most have failed at obtaining. A record full of life and compromise towards the genre of choice with the fire of youth behind the execution of each track, with a satisfying touch to enjoy this high quality production and interpretation in a different language for a change.
