Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: DORO; signed via the mighty Nuclear Blast Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Heavy Metal, on their 13th album entitled: "Forever Warriors, Forever United" (released August 17th, 2018).

Since formation in 1989; the quintet in question have 12 albums in their discography so far, I am introduced to their 13th album entitled: "Forever Warriors, Forever United". 9 tracks ranging at around 36:82; I will be covering the 2nd Disc of this release entitled: "Forever United" with the 1st Disc being part of a seperate review, in which that CD ended with me saying the words "corny and generic" - let us hope the 2nd Disc delivers a better result. "Rèsistance" begins the CD; arranging better developments with bouncy contrast and distinguishable formulas, distributing concrete distinctions amalgamated with operatic poetry that still emphasizes on anthemic love songwriting stability – this is all well and good, just the borderline foundation here is still cheesy and incredibly overused.

Consisting of Doro Pesch on vocals; the frontman does a much better job here than on the 1st Disc, as the vocalization feels more fluidly polished in songs like "Lift Me Up". The complex dynamics are consistently execute with heavy riffs and solos from guitarist Baas Maas who continues to captivate with profusely robust proficiency, although in "Heartbroken" the attributed aesthetic demonstrates hymns of romantic ramifications as this continues with the next batch of songs "It Cuts So Deep" with its flamboyantly fuelled harmonies of melodious manifestations of meticulous technicalities. "Love Is A Sin" continues the conceptual design of filler infused inventiveness, intricately established with organic substances and audibly boistrous bass contributions from Nick Douglas.

Things get better with the tribute to the late and great Lemmy Kilmeister (Rest In Peace) from the legendary MÖTORHEAD with the song "Living Life To The Fullest", the battering rampages from Johnny Dee onslaughts with groovy pummelling with the ending implementing an exert from Lemmy himself - an interesting and diverse song with unique variety that brings the element of bouncy heaviness back to life. "1000 Years" tones things down again with Luca Princiotta portraying pianist keyboard elements which supplies atmospheric ambiency with a hint of crunchy rhythms, while "Fight Through The Fire" remains to be the most efficiently dextrous. Overall concluding the record with "Lost In The Ozone"; I discovered a record that may well need growing on me, hopefully.

Bottom line; the silver lining is that while DORO dominately emphasize on the lyrical themes being love and not much else, there is not much extremity here that will grab you - still a respectable record though.<
