In another century long time ago Chip Z' Nuff and Donnie Vie were reputed songwriters, their hit single songs were on heavy rotation on MTV, they enjoyed the American Rockstars' life with their successful band ENUFF Z'NUFF.
Today Donnie is walking alone in a new path, well... Well, not really, in fact this album is mostly a collection of ENUFF Z'NUFF's titles in a sparse and stripped-back acoustic approach, those trademark tracks & classics Songs are performed live in their most simple form, in unplugged version with only acoustic guitar or a piano and from time to time Baz Francis help on backing vocals, as you can imagine, it's not thrilling or jaw dropping and if I'm really honest, Imust say that it's most of the time really boring...
The accompanying DVD is full of footages that capture Donnie Vie and MAGIC EIGHT BALL's Baz Francis on the road, as well as Donnie talking and performing acoustic versions of many of his songs - The music video is also included for each song. Good news, Donnie Vie's reissue of the long out of print acoustic solo album "Extra Strenght" is available again, he will release a brand new studio album later in 2014 also on Livewire / Cargo Records, it will be titled "All In"... Wait and see.
