Celestial Deconstruction
Doldrey
The mixing between Punk Rock and Hardcore with extreme Metal influences gave birth to Grindcore in the late years of the 80's. But even today, some different mixes create unexpected forms of extreme music that are really good, even not being something new (just different from the common). And from Singapore comes DOLDREY that, after a Demo Tape and an EP comes with their first full length, "Celestial Deconstruction".
Their music is based on a mix between Old School Death Metal with Crust Punk (something clear due the influences of the second in the guitar riffs). It's abrasive, full of extreme hooks, and it's not based on solely fast tempos (and even fast, they're not as extreme as presented on Grindcore). Due Punk Rock/Hardcore influences heard, there are many hooks on the band's songs, and the energy that this album delivers is hard to make the heads shake. This album is a blunt and not formal invitation to aches in the necks! The words above can give the idea of something putrid in the sonority of "Celestial Deconstruction", but it's not true. The album recorded and mixed by TheIzzad Kadzali Shah, and the mastering was done by Will Killingsworth, known for his works with acts as GLUE, THE BODY, CHAINED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN, and others), and the sound quality is really nasty, but in a defined way that allows everyone to understand what's being played by the band. It's a very good result, indeed.
The songs of "Celestial Deconstruction" are really very good, and easily assimilated by the senses. Take a ride on "Blood of the Serpent" (an Old School Death Metal song filled with Hardcore/Crust guitar riffs, so the extreme Metal hooks are evident), "Endless Torment" and "Seed of Desire" (on these, the band uses sets of simple Hardcore tempos, making the fans become entangled by the musical aggressiveness, and what good work of bass guitar and drums), "Celestial Deconstruction" (very good rhythmic contrasts once more), "Age of Extinction" (another moment where the Crust Punk side of their music becomes evident, with charming guitars and nasty snarls of the vocals), "Marked for Death" (impossible to not shake the heads and it'll invite the fans to moshpit in the shows for sure) and "Destructive Security Command" and check what they're able to do with your ears and brains.
Yes, DOLDREY came kicking the doors with "Celestial Deconstruction", so listen to it and have your ears pulverized into shreds!
