Gather around me legions of the darkness. The time for us to unleash our furious force of darkness has finally come. DODHEIMSGARD gave us the sign and darkness has to be unfolded to this world of misery. Join us or there are no chances of survival! We were waiting for the sign since 1999 and now, it is time for the black shining Metal to rise once again!
Eight whole years have passed since the release of DODHEIMSGARD's last full-length album 666 International (1999). Since then, the band's members have spent their time in various bands and projects like CODE, AURA NOIR, ULVER and VIRUS just to name a few. I think it was about time they released this album. I just couldn't keep waiting for their next masterpiece.
I said that it was about time because many of you have definitely realized that Black Metal becomes common and fake as time goes by. There is a great lack of fresh ideas and the bands that release more than good albums are very few. This is the time when the gods (DODHEIMSGARD) saw that humanity was ruining what they left behind and they thought about giving us one more chance to become thinking people. DODHEIMSGARD are here for one more time to release an album full of avant-garde anarchy and intense Black Metal cruelty. The bands that can match their glory (but of course not overcome it) are only a few, ARCTURUS, VED BUENS ENDE, GEHENNA and ULVER. These are the only bands that can produce a totally epic and majestic atmosphere. While you listen to anything that DODHEIMSGARD have released you get lost in a world of emotions, sickness and cruelty. This happens of course in Supervillain Outcast as well. This album continues the legacy of DODHEIMSGARD and proves that this band is surely one of the top acts out there.
Czral is something more than just a genius behind the drum kit, Kvohst's vocals are sick and insane, the guitars spit poison, the bass is a hell of a nice architect in the overall result and the samples give a more industrial feeling to the whole album. There is really nothing that can make me let this album leave my CD player. What I realize is that when I listen to this album, there are just no words to describe the glorious geniuses that compose this band.
I won't tell you if you have to buy this album or not. Even if it sounds a bit racist, this album is only for the people that can understand the music, the ideology and the sickness of this band. To tell you the truth, I even feel unable to rate this album. I just fall on my knees and worship the return of DODHEIMSGARD. Respect!
