Distillator - Revolutionary Cells album cover

Some music never gets old to the ears even if they are bloody similar, take for example the plethora of similar Thrash bands that have emerged in the last decade - ALKOHOLIZER, EGOKILL, BIOTOXIC WARFARE, BLINDEATH, CRISIX, CRITICAL CONDITION etc. DISTILLATOR, a 3 piece Thrash band from Netherlands joins the party with their debut full length album "Revolutionary Cells".

Musically this shit is easy on the ears and is quite similar to many modern Thrash bands like the ones mentioned above, but it's the fresh riffs and the intricacies that make this album so special. The album starts with the band's flagship song "Guerrilla Insurgency" which gives a good idea what's on offer here - pure unadulterated Thrash Fucking Metal.  The 9 track album continues with "Saturation Bombing", another fast paced riff driven anthemic Speed Metal song, with some juicy fast solos. The technical riffs, though not too complex, but are hard to air-guitar due to their sheer pace.  "Revolutionary Cells" is another kickass song with a touch of Punk feel to it. The main riff in every song reminds me of how MUNICIPAL WASTE made this style of modern Thrash famous globally. The plethora of riffs thrown in "Suicidal" sound nothing less than my head getting hammered continuously, it's insane. The backing vocals by Frank work perfectly here as they it creates the ideal anthemic feel in every song. The second tire riff parts in "Death Strip" are simply crazy and are of highest standard and shows how skilled these axe men are. The album ends with another amazing song "Sacred Indoctrination" filled with all that's good with this album. What makes "Revolutionary Cells" stand out of the crowd is that all the songs bring something new to the table, something so many bands (old and new) fail to do.

Lyrically the album is all about violence in the world just like portrait in the cover art, while the production is polished as fuck. This album transcends beyond the old school-new school boundaries and has the ability to make all fans of the Thrash genre rejoice. Frankly cut the crap, I would just describe this February 10th releasing album as "35 minutes of hair lifting Thrash Metal". Look out for this you Thrashers.
