Begin The Revolution
Disaffection
For years Christian Metal has been providing hits that were more associated to Hard Rock, Heavy or Glam Metal . Names such as STRYPER ,MASS, HOLY SOLDIER and countless of others that scoured the 80's scene filled it with the word of Christ. In the case of Thrash, only a few bands fit to the Christian description, maybe the duo that I can think of are the American DELIVERANCE or SEVENTH ANGEL from the UK. In my bill, the young Thrashers of DISAFFECTION, based in Brazil, are the South American answer to those two mentioned bands and an additional answer to other non-Christian affiliated Thrash bands.
With my suggestions, I still liked what DISAFFECTION did on their debut album, "Begin The Revolution" . Mixing the subjects that ignite Thrash as social stuff, religion (yet here its pro religion) or plain warmongering politics along with the suitable riffs of rage and destruction, this is the bread and butter for every thrasher worldwide. Its not just the riffages, if those are molded right to a certain path as it was done in "Begin The Revolution", its gonna be great. Between fighting and killing of "Metal Kombat" (This is the band's "War Ensamble"), the cool melodies of"The Mortuary Man", high speed religious chaser of "Mystery Of God" and the dread of brain damage of "Cerebral Nightmare", DISAFFECTION will supply the hunger for 80's Thrash while try to ignore the trends that attempt to put Metal into submission.
Maybe those guys have something against development or trying to exploit what they have to give to the Metal scene, yet, you can't count them out as a nice Thrash feature. Check out "Begin The Revolution" .
