Diabolical Messiah - Satan Tottendemon Victory!!! album cover

DIABOLICAL  MESSIAH is a Death Metal band from Rancagua, Chile.  As far as I can tell, this is their first recording, and contains nine tracks.  "Salve Satanas" opens the album, with some hushed evil voices, leading to the second song called "Celestial Ceremony."  It is a fast and furious track, full of rage.  The Death vocals are very deep, and there is a steady supply of blast beat drumming throughout.  A maddening guitar solo screams over the top.  As can be heard with much traditional Death Metal, the riff hovers around the low E chord.  "Buried Throne" is next, continuing in the same quick paced manner.  The attack is nearly relentless, and at times the structure is just blurry from the obliteration the instruments deliver.  As if it were even possible, "Divine War" might be even more ominous and insane.  It is close to the Core side of the genre as well, leaving you with almost no discernible melody.

"Intro_Panzerkamepfwagen" opens with an obvious scene of war and death.  Bombs, gunfire and agonizing screams can be heard, before the main body of the song comes into play.  The sixth track is entitled "Curse of Megatons."  At this point in the album it appears that the formula they use for impact in songwriting will be applied evenly throughout all tracks.  There is so little variation that it is nearly impossible to tell one track apart from the next.  An occasional riff change and meter change does accentuate some variation every now and again, but overall this is very straightforward and unchanging.  "Master of Chaos" underscores this approach.  "Perverse Domain" plays us into the final track, "Sicarius_Outro."  I believe Death Metal fans who like their product delivered with an unchanging, relentless assault, and the feeling that your head is being bashed apart from the inside with every track could find this to their liking.  For me there just wasn't enough originality, or anything challenging some of the very small and tight boundaries of the genre.  Their musicianship however was noteworthy, and they played with all the confidence and technique of any bands in this style who do have a record deal.
