Invocation
Dew-Scented

I have to confess that I am really proud that bands like DEW-SCENTED are still around, teaching how Metal should be. They teach honesty and simplicity, a couple of things some bands may never understand. I say all these things because of facts I have heard about this band, that put DEW-SCENTED even deeper in my heart. Don't tell me you don't know these guys...
This German Thrash Metal band has been around since 1992, delivering its own brand of pure Metal! After four albums through Nuclear Blast Records, the band thought it was about time for a change, a big change may I add! DEW-SCENTED moved to another German label, Metal Blade Records and changed almost the entire "Incinerate" line up, since "Invocation" presents two brand new guitarists and a new drummer!
Let's see a few reasons why someone could fall in love with this band... First of all, their name is inspired by my favorite poet of all time, Edgar Allan Poe, which is a huge plus for me (kidding of course). Every single one of their albums starts with the word "I", though for some strange reason I never found out why they do this. They may be German and they may play Thrash Metal, but forget the classic KREATOR, SODOM or DESTRUCTION recipes here! These guys are kicking it their own way and they surely know how to do it with style! Trying to compare them with other bands just to give you an idea of how they sound like, I just keep ending up in the European Thrash/Death Metal scene, with LEGION OF THE DAMNED being the first name that comes in my mind, and bands like CARNAL FORGE, HATESPHERE and IMPIOUS follow, even some THE HAUNTED I could say.
What is amazing about these guys is that even though they have a totally aggressive sound, they somehow manage to retain the groove in their songs and have those rapidly switching guitars that attack you mercilessly literally from every speaker!
It seems that these Germans are slowly, yet steadily building up a name in the scene and have gained the respect from thousands of fans, mostly due to their pretty damn good music and their attitude. Believe me guys, these guys are here only for the music and they seem to enjoy it! Thraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash metaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!
