Sis Mortuus Mondo
Deus Otiosus

Typically there's no "Greater Horror" than writing a full length review about an EP that's only two songs, thankfully DEUS OTIOSUS make it quick and painless with their new EP "Sis Mortuus Mondo." Out through Godeater Records DEUS OTIOSUS have released less than 10 minutes of music that make you want to head-bang and mosh in your room and if you don't have a repeat button (if you're old school and get a physical copy) then you'll have to stop after 8 minutes, 3 of which are used to set up your coat hanger so it can be your moshing buddy, and go hit play again.
The first track "Greater Horror" is a high energy Death Metal track, unrelenting and dominating. As an opener this song gets the job done, it gets you ready for what this band has to offer and even features a small Doom/Death section to get anyone with (or without if you're CORPSEGRINDER) a neck headbanging. The second and final track "Seperatio Leprosorum" is a slower almost BLACK SABBATH gone Death Metal kind of song. This song is heavy in all the right ways and done so well even the most veteran of bands should be taking note from DEUS OTIOSUS on how to write a real heavy song.
Two songs, 8 minutes, thousands of sore necks. DEUS OTIOSUS wrote one hell of an EP here and "Sis Mortuus Mondo" is a must for any Death Metal fans collection. This is a band that will be bound to exceed your expectations and in a world so saturated with bad Death Metal, who doesn't want to find the new masters?
