DESTRUKTOR is a warring Black/Death Metal band from Australia. DESTRUKTOR formed in 1995, and have just released their latest full-length effort titled "Opprobrium" via Hell's Headbangers Records.

DESTRUKTOR write and sing about the most Death Metal subjects possible on "Oppobrium" including blood, guts, war, politics, and death. "Priestality" begins the entire album with something that sounds like a "sonic boom" of metal assaults. Similar "assaults" continue as the listener progresses throughout the album. "Besieged" talks about how in this world we live in one must protect themselves because no one else is going to go out of their way to protect them. "Tryant's Condemnation" discusses the sinister reign of a tyrant that is making his people suffer, and allowing them to perish under his reign. "Immaculate Deception" is about how deceptive other people can be, and how you cannot necessarily trust anyone, no matter how trustworthy they seem. These are the types that show no mercy to anyone no matter what their circumstances may be. "Blood's Poison" is about turning society into god-awful nightmares that we see today. People are poisoned with greed/desire/lust, and it is tainting this world.

The subjects of oppression/hate/darkness/death are clearly very "Black Metal". The sound matches it as well. Skulls-crushing drum-beats and driving guitar riffs push the music forward at a breakneck pace. Glen's feral, growling, guttural vocals add another element of "dark" to the Black Metal played by DESTRUKTOR on this latest release.

Between the musical "sonic booms" and the vocal "acrobatics" of Glen it would be a mistake for any Black Metal fan to not add this to their permanent collection. It will be a classic for some time to come.
