Denominate - The Ones That Beheld The End album cover

Take the accuracy of Paul Mazurkiewicz, the evocative riffs and solos of Jeff Loomis, and the power of a young Chris Barnes mixed together and you can begin to imagine what the quality of a band like Denominate provides the modern Metal fans worldwide with a record like "The Ones who Beheld the End"; Finland's natives full-length single was produced last year and it surely will produce a great opportunity for the band to make its message be heard by the most audiences possible in this 2017.

Acknowledged by many as a band of progressive, technical, death metal, DENOMINATE, is the living proof of 50 years of Metal Evolution in the form of talented, well versed musicianship along with the exact idea of what an opening album for a Death Metal band must provide its fans.

"In a Chasm of Stone", the opening track of "Those Who Beheld The End" reminded me without a doubt of the first time I ever heard Hammer Smashed Face, which immediately got me involved with the band as the record evolves. The melodies of the black metal oriented riff in "Degradation allowed only for my interest to rise, and by the time I heard the acoustic intro in "Torments of Silence" I couldn't help myself listening to the whole ordeal. The band's technical ability seems to know no boundaries when you get to the end of "Apeirophobia", an inevitable need of head banging along with the first notion of what it is to fear eternity now ensured this album as an outstanding work in both execution and production. One can only hope that the band can tour as most countries as possible in order to release more albums and grow in experience and prestige in today's and tomorrow's metal scene.

Finally, If one might be able to add a personal opinion driven straight from the heart and deprived of any scientific background, then I venture myself to say that as long as bands like Denominate keep playing and releasing albums such as " The ones who beheld the end" the flame of Metal will carry on, and the essence of the genre can rest assured that the main force behind this constant flow of energy that has carried us all Metal Maniacs since the first note of "Black Sabbath" was ever played live by a young Birmingham, England based band called "Earth" will continue to generate and mostly denominate the difference between the music designed to make you feel alive and free and the music designed to strengthen the establishment. The main essence of the music that we all love and admire.
