DENNER / SHERMANN are a "normal" Heavy Metal, hailing from Copenhagen, Germany. With talents such as the mighty Sean Peck - from DEATH DEALER on vocals, Hank Shermann and Michael Denner (if you didn't realize, the band title is the two second names but fused) - from MERCYFUL FATE and SHERMANN TANK; Snowy Shaw - from MERCYFUL FATE, KING DIAMOND, DIMMU BORGIR, (to name a few, the man has that D.I.Y. Attitude so naturally he's going to be in multiple bands) and Marc Grabowski on bass - from DEMONICA and SHERMANN TANK also. One would say this is another fantastic "supergroup" of a lineup and I agree. Being a massive fan of Sean Peck's DEATH DEALER, I was excited to see him in the band lineup. I also recognized his voice easily, of course; naturally. "Satan's Tomb" is the band's first EP debut and it is an epic; "true" - Old School, Heavy Metal spectacle.

"Satan's Tomb" is a 4-song EP and this alone...sold me. Sean Peck's vocal talent from his baby; DEATH DEALER is here; alive and well. Michael Denner's and Hank Shermann's combined guitar talents make this one heck of an epic EP. Granted; I'm not big on MERCYFUL FATE or KING DIAMOND (I know of them and highly respect them; just haven't listened to them yet, though I will now after listening to DENNER/SHERMANN!) - hearing them play properly for the first time was an epic win for me. DENNER/SHERMANN are the pinnacle of epic - Old School Heavy Metal. After listening to "Satan's Tomb" several times, I banged my head; thrashed about a bit - and enjoyed myself "heavily" (no pun intended), probably a bit too much. "War Witch" is very catchy and absolutely heavy as Hell. "New Gods" has a similar outing; but with that extra "oomph" of power. Probably my favorite tracks.

Nonetheless - if you're into any kind of Heavy Metal... "Satan's Tomb" should be up anyone's alley; Power Metal fans also would enjoy. I will be recommending DENNER/SHERMANN to anyone, as they deserve the attention.
