Power Metal legends DEMONS AND WIZARDS have reissued their first album "Demons and Wizards". This is one of the most influential super groups that have ever been created. Formed in 1998 by Hansi Kursch the lead vocalist for BLIND GUARDIAN and Jon Schaffer guitarist for ICED EARTH, they released two albums before taking a hiatus. They are planning on releasing a new album sometime in 2020 which is one of the most anticipated albums in recent history. They have been one of my top favorite Power Metal bands for most of my life now and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

It all begins with "Rites of Passage" which is a nice melodic intro that is a perfect fit for this amazing album. That leads us into "Heaven Denies" which is one of my all time favorite songs by them. It's beautifully orchestrated and has a wonderful mix of metal and melody. It starts off powerful and ends on a very peaceful note. "Poor Man's Crusade" kicks us right back into high gear and starts off with a sick air raid scream. That's how you know a song is going to be fun. There is one thing about DEMONS AND WIZARDS and that's the fact every song of theirs is epic as fuck. The next song "Fiddler on the Green" is a beautiful acoustic piece until about three and a half minutes in and then out of nowhere they hit you up with an extremely powerful ending. This is one of my favorites as well.

"Blood on my Hands" is one of the greatest songs ever written by DEMONS AND WIZARDS. If you think otherwise there is something extremely wrong with you and you need to seek help. This may also very well be one of the best Power Metal songs ever written. "Path of Glory" is one of those songs that just puts you in the mood to go on an epic quest to fight dragons and protect the land. It's an all around fun song. "Winter of Souls" is another one that makes me want to go grab sword and shield and go vanquish all of my enemies and storm all the castles. This song is absolutely sick.

I really want to talk about my absolute one hundred percent favorite song by DEMONS AND WIZARDS of all time. "My Last Sunrise" may very well be the most epic Power Metal song every written in the history of Power Metal. The way it starts off nice and calm and then blasts into sheer Metal is just... Oh my God... That's the best way for me to explain how much of a masterpiece this song is. Like every song they write is great, but this song takes the cake. Everything from the vocals to instruments have been immaculately written and placed. This Remaster is definitely worth buying even if you already own the album!
