When it comes to Death Metal Sweden sure is the best place to be. That has been proven over and over again since the beginning of the era. No-one can deny bands as ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER or GRAVE their greatness. And Death Metal just as it sounded about 20 years ago is exactly what we are talking about here. But not just that, it's easy to copy. It's a lot harder to do it your own way, with your own sound and make the music hold the quality DEMONICAL does. But ok, it's really no newly hatched guys we're talking about here. Johan Jansson who was a part of mighty fine group CENTINEX, he has also been a part of REGURGITATE and DELLAMORTE among other.

Ronnie Bergerståhl can also be found behind the drums in GRAVE and used to be a part of highly underrated JULIE LAUGHS NOMORE. So yes, these guys know what they are doing and they do it damn good on "Death Infernal". The music is tastefully balanced between brutality and memorable lines and phrases without being hitty like a lot of modern bands these days. This is pure Old School Death Metal as its best when it comes to the style of the music.

The production is modern, clear and powerful without being too processed. "Through Hellfire" brigs the classic Studio Sunlight to mind in the opening riff, the feel and the sound is very much like it sounded in the early 90's. "Black Inferno" was one of the first songs that really got stuck on me, the opening slight disharmonic melody cuts through steel. It is very memorable, the rest of the song is no less either.

DEMONICAL shows that they can handle all from fast to extremely heavy to fairly melodic and do that very tastefully. "Death Infernal" is a really brutal album with a really interesting touch when it comes to the details. Great songwriting and good variation! And this still within the walls of Old School Death Metal. This is definitely something to check out for all Death Metal fans.
