Over the past couple of years Dutch Symphonic Metal troupe DELAIN having been wowing audiences with their strong melodies and incredible live shows. They are due to release another full length studio album, to keep punters waiting in suspense and their keep expectations high, they have released an EP titled "Lunar Prelude", it contains some new songs and live renditions of some of their latest tracks.
For those who are new to these Dutch Symphonic Metallers here is some information; DELAIN formed in 2005 and for the past decade they have been releasing their signature catchy Melodic Metal worldwide. They have toured the globe with the likes of NIGHTWISH, SABATON, WITHIN TEMPTATION and KAMELOT. Titans of the scene such as Marco Hietala, Sharon Den Adel and Alissa White-Gluz as guest vocalists have appeared across their discography. This EP gives the listener a taste of what is to come on their upcoming full length studio album.
The new songs within the EP captivate their iconic sound they have been releasing for the past decade despite several line up changes. The new songs in question are "Suckerpunch", "Turn The Lights Out" and "Don't Let Go", each of these songs offer catchy melodies, excellent vocals and a touch to the heart; these are what DELAIN are best known for.
There are also some live tracks on the album, ones from their previous album "The Human Contradiction", from what has been seen at live shows it's evident these are the ones that have received the biggest reception. Particularly "Army Of Dolls" and "Stardust" as they are quite massive tunes that make a huge impact on their fans.
It is safe to say that these tracks will give fans an excellent taste of what these Dutch Symphonic Metallers will offer up on their fifth studio album.
