Italian Death Metal band DEFECHATE has released a banger of an album entitled "Overthrown Into Oblivion". This five track album is a must have for those of you who enjoy pure Death with no gimmicks. This is one album that will really sink it's teeth into you and not let go.

The first track up is "Electrocution" which simply put, is brutal as fuck. It really reminds me of DYING FETUS in the best way possible. This one is sure to have you banging your head non stop. Giuseppe Tatangelo is a beast on vocals and Luke Scurb kills it on the guitars. Up next was the song "Rotten Planet Dies" which changes up the tempo a bit but I think it added a lot to the way the album was heading. I really appreciated the time changes in the song as well. "Overthrown Into Oblivion" is our midway point and this song really kicks you in the teeth. I knew the album was going to be brutal, but god damn this song fucking rips! Every instrument in this song is brought to the forefront and really  makes you appreciate it even more. "The Pulsing Crust" takes a turn towards even darker death metal and also becomes a whole lot more hellacious. This song is probably my favourite on the album by far. I really think the drums stuck out on this one as well. The final song on the album is "La Morte, La Stessa" and it does not disappoint in the slightest. One thing that caught my attention is how the bass really shines through. I always appreciate a nice bass line in a metal song.

All in all the album was pretty damn good. I couldn't find any faults at all in my listen through. I think that if death metal fans get their hands on this one, they will find it just as entertaining as I have. Good job guys! Keep up the good work!
